Pneumatic rubber fender also called yokohama fender, made by rubber & multi layers of rubber-dipped tyre fabric, is a leading anti-collision device for marine application in the world today.
Floating pneumatic rubber fenders are made of the synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheet with compressed air inside. The insider air can enable it to float on the water and work as a shock absorbed between two ships (ship-to-ship), or between ships and berthing structures when they come alongside each other on the water. Floating pneumatic rubber fenders can be easily handled and installed with guy-rope or guy-chain because of their lightweight. It can resist the shearing force and maintain energy absorption level under inclined compression up to 15 degrees.
Pneumatic fenders are available from 500 mm to 4,500 mm in diameters, and from 500 mm to 9,000 mm in length. All sizes of pneumatic rubber fenders are available as sling-type or with a heavy-duty chain & tire net. We also supply vertical hydro pneumatic fenders for submarines.
Note: The floating pneumatic rubber fenders have sometimes been colloquially referred to as "Yokohama Fenders" or "Yokohama type fenders" - ISO 17357:2014 Ships and marine technology - High-pressure floating pneumatic rubber fenders.

c. The whole rubber capsule wall is formed once, and there is no secondary rubber joint, which eliminates the strength weak link brought by the secondary joint, and greatly improves the overall strength of the capsule wall.
d. The wall is thin and soft, the contact deformation performance is good, the absorption energy is large and the back pressure is small, especially in the large compression, the thin wall is not easy to wrinkle, and the impact fatigue life is improved.

Product Structure
Pneumatic Rubber Fenders of Zhonghaihang made of an outer rubber, reinforcement synthetic-tyre-cord layer, and inner rubber,vulcanized firmly.
[A]. the outer rubbers are used to protect the cord layers and inner rubber from abrasion and other external forces. This rubber compound have sufficient tensile and tear resistance strength to withstand anticipated weather conditions and severe usage.
[B]. the reinforcement synthetic-tyre-cord layer strong enough to maintain the internal air pressure of the fender.
[C]. the inner rubber layer seals the pressurized air inside the fender.
[D]. fenders of diameter 2500mm and larger equipped with safety valve for releasing excess internal pressure when the fenders are over-compressed accidentally. Fender assembly for the end of metal, by inside and outside the two flanges with bolts, nut clamping, center is a valve, its structure is similar to automobile tire valve.they have consistent performance even under rough conditions and cyclic load. The maintenance cost and damage risk are minimized too. The best material also ensures self-buoyancy and extremely long service life.
